| Wedding mini FAQ
|
Hey guys,
I've just decided to post a mini faq based on some of the questions we receive here at the studio on a daily basis. These questions are in relation to weddings and may have different answers with regards to our portrait, commercial/fashion and family photography.
"Would you travel - eg. to the Gold Coast?
- Of course! We travel anywhere! We've shot jobs in Dubai, Singapore and New Zealand (and all over Queensland!). There isn't even a travel fee if you live within a 2 hr radius from Toowoomba CBD :)
"Do you offer wedding videos too? If so, how much more and do you have a video example? (I saw you had mentioned something about it on your blog)."
- Our wedding videography team is working really hard to intergrate into the Annielyn Images' style as we speak, we're expecting to be fully operational around August of this year. Our plan isn't just to tack on videography (we already work with some great videographers) but to have the videography we add to our business have the same sense of style and finesse, natural but glamourous look that our stills do. Video examples are not available at this time, as soon as they are, you'll be able to see them on our website. It's not something we can rush, as it has to be right :)
"How much roughly should I budget for wedding video and photos? What do most people spend?" "I've talked to heaps of people and it seems some people pay $600 for photos and others pay $10,000+. It's all a little confusing."
- It certainly can be confusing :) We concentrate on album or coffee table book packages here at Annielyn Images, which, start at $2995 and $2500 respectively. People do tend to spend more than this, however, as they may wish to purchase more album pages, enlargements, canvasses, parent albums. We have many add on packages and collections to make some of this easier, however ultimately it is up to you how much you want to spend once you see how many of the photos you can't live without LOL :)
Some people most definitely upgrade to $6000, $8000 or $10000 after the wedding. We have payment plans available to make this easier if necessary. Either which way, we can work together to fit your style and budget.
"I'd like to come in and see more of your work...."
- Our studio is open (located at 288a Ruthven Street, Toowoomba) during normal business hours, however we do take evening appointments Thursday at 6:00pm or 7:30pm. Unfortunately we aren't often available on weekends because we are photographing weddings

OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!
That's what I thought when I was attending a lunch for photographers in Brisbane on Monday. Well, actually I was thinking that I felt a little nauseous from the bite on my leg that I somehow got whilst out in the bush the day before doing a shoot with our videographer, Jack. This is because I didn't know why I was there yet LOL
Paula, from That's Me Photography, had arranged for Yervant Zanzanian and his wife Anie to fly up from Melbourne (in secret) to have lunch with us.
So, there I was feeling nauseous, when Paula starts to announce who our guest speaker is (this was the first time I had attended this group, so hearing there was a guest speaker was a surprise in itself)
Before she could finish though, I had already spoiled the surprise for myself by seeing Yervant in the doorway. My sickness went away replaced by adrenaline LOL

I hadn't met Yervant before, and for anyone who isn't a photographer, understanding my idolisation of these people may seem strange. Yervant and Anie are wonderful people, and very approachable despite having won Wedding Album of the Year many, many times with the AIPP and WPPI
