Nicki and Ben

So I said that I was going to post examples of the my work and I haven't done that for nearly three months! So here goes.

Prior to a wedding we do a 'get-to-know-you shoot'. This is just Anna and I and the bride and groom to be spending some two on two time getting to know each other, and, getting them used to being in front of the camera. Some couples are immediately comfortable with it like Nicki and Ben, who are getting married in two weeks.

Totally gorgeous couple and we had a blast doing some of these on Ben's father's property where he does up old sheds and fills them with old school memoribilia :)

New Studio

The previous post reminded me to announce that we have moved! Anna and I now have our own studio at 288 Ruthven Street! Well, when I say our own studio, I mean that we have space that will soon be a studio :|

It's a little bit of a 'handyman's dream' at the moment, but it's getting close!

I'll post some before and afters soon (as soon as we get the 'afters'!)

Internet Stalker

So today I was at a local(ish) photographic supply store today shopping for our new studio when in walk a couple of young(er than me) photographers looking to hire some lights or something. I look over at them and decide to step out on a limb...

"Excuse me...are you Ryan Schembri?"

"yes I am"

"and are you Jess McNally?"

"Naly, but yeah"

and then I'm about to say "OMG I'M SUCH A BIG FAN OF BOTH YOUR WORK AND IT TOTALLY ROCKS AND OMG OMG THIS IS AWESOME AND I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU GUYS HIRE LIGHTS TOO WHEN YOU NEED THEM AND YES I ONLY KNOW YOU FROM THE INTERNET BUT THIS IS TOTALLY COOL AND..."etc when the words "ahh, yeah, cool" stumble out of my mouth and I mumble something about blogs and the internet.

Way to make an impression.

And I'm a grown up, not a teenage girl watching Dean on Australian Idol.

Jess looked scared and Ryan 'took a phone call' to get out of the same room as me! (Kidding! :| )

They were both great even though I confused Jess's surname with a McDonald's meal. We chatted for a little bit and then everyone went on their way.

FIRST POST!!

So far, suffice to say, this blog hasn't exactly been off to a flying start! In my defense, we have been busy, honest LOL

Miss Indy 2006

I'm knee deep in swimsuit models at the moment and it is definitely a lot of fun! 40 models in 25 days so we (Covershot that is) can produce the second Covershot Miss Indy edition and sponsor the whole event. Having a great time travelling around and meeting these girls, all are fantastic :)

More to come soon, but just thought I'd prove I've been doing something....here's Melissa and Rachael!
